The ITP Stupid Hackathon is a one-day event where brilliant minds intentionally make the most unnecessary, absurd, and ridiculous projects possible – acting in sharp juxtaposition to the popular perception of “aRtIfiCiaL iNtElLiGeNce”.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
If you have a laptop, a brain full of questionable ideas, and the willingness to bring your most cursed project to life, you belong here. No coding experience? No problem. The ITP Stupid Hackathon is all about chaotic creativity. To fuel your terrible ideas, we’ll be hosting workshops throughout the day on web design, physical computing, game design, fabrication, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned hacker or just here for the chaos, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn and apply new skills in the most unhinged ways possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT
– A full day of hacking, joking, and building things that probably shouldn’t exist
– Free food (very important)
– Absolutely zero VC pitches or startup ideas, please.
– Demos of the most useless tech imaginable

WHY?
Because technology isn’t always meant to be measured by efficiency or usefulness. It’s important to step outside the ideologies and politics of what gets labeled “useful” or “useless,” and create space for conversation, disagreement, and play. Sometimes, you don’t need a reason. Sometimes, you just make things. We make stupid things.
