Join us Saturday, June 6, for a generative writing workshop with poet Nicholas Goodly!About this Event
About the workshop:
This workshop explores poetry as a practice of self-acceptance and empowerment. We’ll begin by reading and creating poems that embrace dramatic self-affirmation and unapologetic expression of identity. From there, we’ll shift toward writing that pushes beyond comfort zones, encouraging participants to explore radical vulnerability and emotional honesty on the page. Through discussion, prompts, and generative exercises, writers will experiment with finding the courage to reveal the “naked self” in their work while building trust in their own voice and perspective.
