About this Event
Before we ask anything of the universe—before we light candles to the Orisha, call on the Orisha —we must remember the ones whose blood is our blood, our ancestors. We are not separate from them - we are them and they are us. They have the deepest investment in our healing, our prosperity and our survival. No matter who we pray to or what spiritual path we’re on, the ancestors will always come first.
Ancestor work is not just about candles and altars. It’s about connection. It’s about identity. It’s about accountability. It’s about healing. It’s about belonging to something bigger than ourselves and understanding our place in it. In a world that often encourages disconnection, ancestral practices bring us right back to the foundation - to home.
It’s time to acknowledge. It’s time to reconnect. It’s time to give thanks. It’s time to begin - with the ancestors.
Join me for a 4-part Sunday series on ancestor veneration—a sacred return to those who live within us.
