Isola Jones, celebrated as one of the finest voices of her generation, performed at the Metropolitan Opera House for 18 seasons. Throughout her illustrious career, she sang alongside legendary artists such as Leontyne Price, Luciano Pavarotti, Jessye Norman, and Joan Sutherland. With over 500 performances, she holds the record for the most appearances by an African-American artist at the Metropolitan Opera.
This intimate recital and talkback will explore Jones' career, featuring never-before-told stories from the golden years of the Metropolitan Opera.
The recital and masterclass are a part of a documentary film on Jones' life, being directed by Milik Kashad.
