About this Event
Join Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves for a hands-on volunteer day restoring an aquatic preserve island in North Clearwater Harbor! We will travel by boat to the island and embark on an exciting (sweaty) restoration adventure. Activities will include trail maintenance, invasive plants removal, debris removal, and moving a picnic table.
We will meet at Seminole Street Boat Ramp at 9:30am, and we will plan to return by 3:30 pm. You will need to pay for parking via the parking app or at the pay station. It will likely be a bit warm on the island, so dress appropriately. Please bring water bottles and lunch since we will be on the island through the afternoon. We also suggest bringing two pairs of shoes, as one may get wet one while getting on/off the boat. Please no Crocs! They can easily slide off or get stuck, and we have a fair number of oysters around the island in some areas.
You will receive 3 forms to fill out via PDF, as well as a Volunteer Guide for further information, so check your email. Event space is limited, so RSVP quickly if you're interested!
