This is an urban, social experience designed to bring veterans together in a low-pressure environment where laughter lowers defenses, camaraderie replaces isolation, and conversations happen naturally through shared movement.
🔹 Event: Irreverent Warriors Silkies “Mini” Hike
🔹 Who: Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists
🔹 Distance: ~22 km urban route
🔹 Format: Group hike with hourly social stops, games, and connection
What to Expect:
• A relaxed space to meet other veterans face-to-face
• Opportunities to build real peer support networks
• A reminder that community can be fun, authentic, and human
What to Bring:
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Weather-appropriate clothing (Silkies encouraged, not required)
• Water / hydration
• Small pack for personal items
• Sunscreen
• Optional: cash/card for food & drinks at stops
