Irish Whiskey Tasting – A St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an immersive evening dedicated to the heritage, craft, and evolution of Irish whiskey.
This guided tasting experience explores both familiar favourites and new, distinctive expressions, offering insight into what makes Irish whiskey uniquely smooth, layered, and versatile. The evening will balance tradition with innovation, highlighting classic styles alongside modern blends and releases.
The tasting is led by Jill Hunt of Three Stitches Whiskey & Spirits, whose passion for whiskey is grounded in firsthand experience. Jill has traveled throughout Ireland, visiting distilleries, learning directly from producers, and exploring the regional nuances that shape Irish whiskey today. She will guide guests through each pour with approachable tasting notes, production insights, and stories from the distilleries themselves—focusing on aroma, palate, balance, and finish.
Each whiskey will be paired with a thoughtfully curated course, designed to complement and elevate the spirit. The experience concludes with a full dinner created by Chef Michael Ubbing, drawing inspiration from Diabla Cantina’s bold, elegant, and slightly dark culinary style. The pairings are crafted to enhance the whiskey without overshadowing it, allowing both food and spirit to shine.
