About this Event
Join us at the United Irish Cultural Center of San Francisco for an unforgettable evening of traditional pipe band music performed by one of Ireland’s most respected ceremonial ensembles. This free community gathering offers a rare opportunity to hear the band up close in an intimate indoor setting as they share the proud musical traditions they bring to parades and state occasions around the world.
Founded in 1992 by Pr*son officers Kevin O’Neill and Pat Cosgrove, the Irish Pr*son Service Pipe Band is made up of serving and retired officers from across Ireland. The band regularly represents the Irish Pr*son Service at national ceremonies, memorial services, and international events, and has proudly led guard-of-honor processions in Dublin and St. Patrick’s Day parades throughout Europe and beyond.
The band will also be proudly marching in the San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Parade and making a special appearance at the GreenFest Block Party on 45th Avenue on March 15—so this March 12 event is your chance to see them first and celebrate the season together at the Irish Center.
This is a free, family-friendly event, but registration is requested to help us plan.
🎶 Come celebrate St. Patrick’s season with music, tradition, and community—Sláinte!
