Step into Civil War–era Iowa on Monday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Room B of the Council Bluffs Library. This program presents a first-person portrayal of Iowa soldier Sgt. George Cruikshank, built around his own words and experiences. Drawing on his more than three hundred letters home, observations, and opinions, the program puts audiences face to face with the war as an Iowa soldier would have known it, personal and unscripted. Event is free, family friendly, and open to the public.
