About Invisible

Invisible is the first comprehensive feature documentary that tells the often ignored stories of people living with a devastating syndrome that many still believe doesn’t exist.

The film also exposes the fight with insurance and drug companies for proper treatment and how access to holistic health and education is determined by class and money.

Through his journey to better understand fibromyalgia as a way of helping his mother, filmmaker Nick Demos finally addresses his own suspicions about having the syndrome himself.

Tickets must be purchased online and will be sent to you via email and available through the Eventbrite site/app. Tickets will NOT be available for sale at the door. Bring your digital tickets or a paper copy with you to the event. Tickets are not refundable. (See Refund Policy below.) Tickets to the Portland premiere may NOT be transferred to the virtual screening. If you are unable to attend, please consider the cost of your ticket as a donation to a good cause.

Arrive Early

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to a film start time. Please arrive early to ensure there is ample time for you to get your popcorn and find your seat before the screening begins.

No Late Entry

For safety reasons, there will be no access to the theater once the film screening begins. If you arrive after the film begins, please hang out in the comfortable lobby until the doors re-open at the end of the film. You can then join us for the Q&A and After Party. No refunds will be given to ticket holders who arrive late.

Book & Movie Poster Signing

We recommend pre-ordering your books and posters to guarantee your signed copies. Books and posters can be purchased as an add-on to your event tickets through April 16. After that date, we cannot guarantee copies will be available. If you already have copies, bring them to the event to be signed. While a limited number of books and posters will be available to purchase during the event, we expect these to go very quickly.

Important! We are unable to ship books or posters after the event. Book and poster orders that are not picked up during the event will be cancelled and refunded.

Photographs / Recordings

Bring your selfie sticks and take your picture on the "red carpet"! (We're going purple for Fibromyalgia Awareness Day!) There will be time during the After Party for several photo opportunities: on the "purple carpet", with Tami and Dr. Ginevra, with the filmmakers, and more. If you arrive early enough, you may take photos prior to the film screening. Just remember that there will be no entry to the theater once the film begins, for safety reasons.

By attending our Portland screening event, you are consenting to be photographed, audio and/or video recorded. Entering the event premises at 5th Avenue Cinema constitutes your consent to be interviewed, photographed, audio and/or video recorded by International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute LLC, Invisible the Film LLC, Frida LLC, or their representatives in connection with promotional, marketing, and/or advertising activities.

If you do not wish to be recorded or do not agree to the media waiver, we recommend attending our virtual screening instead. Tickets to the virtual screening will be available soon.

Dress Code

We are following a "Portland dress code" for this event. That means anything goes (within reason)! Some of us will be wearing cocktail or formal clothing for the premiere. It's not every day you get to celebrate a movie premiere! You are welcome to dress up with us, wear comfortable clothes, jeans, or anything else that keeps your body comfortable!

Food & Beverages

We recommend having a snack or dinner before the event. Popcorn will be available for free before the film begins from 5:30-6:00 PM. After the Q&A with the filmmakers, there will be an After Party, featuring gluten-free desserts and non-alcoholic beverages. You are also welcome to bring whatever snacks you need to keep your body happy.

Refund Policy

Please note all tickets are non-refundable. Since purchasing a ticket means reserving a seat that can't be used by someone else, we are unable to give refunds. If you can't use tickets you've purchased, please consider the cost of your ticket as a donation to a good cause!

Tickets may be transferred for someone else to attend in your place by contacting us directly. Requests must be received by Friday, May 5th to be eligible.

Orders for books and posters that are not picked up during the event will be cancelled and refunded.
