About this Event
Film Screening - Invisible Heroes: African Americans in the Spanish Civil War
Invisible Heroes uncovers the story of 85 African Americans who joined the International Brigades to fight against fascism during the Spanish Civil War. Through archival footage and testimonies, the film connects their struggle abroad to the fight for civil rights denied to them at home, revealing a largely overlooked chapter of shared history between the United States and Spain.
Zoom Q&A with co-producer Mireia Sentis after the screening.
