About this Event
This one-day FREE workshop is open to Arts and Humanities (broadly defined) PhD students based in a Scottish University seeking to learn more about how they can use social network analysis in their research. Note that you'll need to bring your own laptop.
We'll introduce you to social network analysis and the theory behind it. We'll also show you some Arts and Humanities case studies (e.g. History; Linguistics) so you can draw conclusions for your own research. In the afternoon, we'll do some group work and will show you how to design your own social network study (what data you need/have; what questions can SNA help you answer; how does a network look like using various softwares).
Please register to confirm your place at this workshop.
If you have any questions, including reasonable adjustments to participate, please contact us - Cristina Chueca Del Cerro, [email protected] OR Katharina (Kat) Pruente, [email protected], SNAS Committee Members. We look forward to having you!
