Join us for an engaging two-day workshop on dart manipulation. This workshop is ideal for pattern enthusiasts eager to enhance their pattern-cutting skills. Over the course, you will delve into creating darts and experiment with a range of dart techniques, including:
- How to create darts on the body
- How to do a princess seam
- Dart manipulation
- Dart rotation
Whether you’re a beginner striving to expand your abilities or an experienced sewist looking to refine your craft, this workshop is thoughtfully designed to be both informative and inspiring.
What You’ll Learn:
Introduction to Pattern Making
- What is a pattern?
- Essential tools of the trade.
- Understanding pattern anatomy.
Pattern adaptions
- How to create different darts on the body
- Learn how to manipulate darts to create interesting designs
- How to properly label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches
- If time permits, create a toile to test your pattern
- Please bring appropriate woven fabric for your toile

- Around 1 metre of lightweight woven fabric
