This is an introduction level workshop focusing on NMM, “non-met”, or Non-Metallic Metal. In this workshop you will learn how to create a metallic effect without using metallic paints or reflective pigments. The workshop will cover how to get good reference photos, where to place your highlights and shadows, as well as how to give your metals some character. (beyond being made of metal) Ie. giving them dings, scratches and colour.
Brodie has used NMM technique/s extensively in his projects to excellent results both in competition and in skilling up. He intends to translate some of that learning into skills that you can take home and use on your own miniature projects.
The workshop will be providing the paints and the miniature to work on but we encourage you to bring any miniatures you’d like feedback on as well as your favourite paints that you like to use.
If during the workshop you’d prefer to work on your own miniature you can do that too.
