During this 4 hour session students will Learn how to use the machine and its functions.
About this Event

During this 4 hour session, students will learn how to thread the machine. Learn how to use the machine and its functions and complete four different seams:

  • Plain seam
  • French seam
  • Flat-fell seam
  • Lapped seam
  • Make a simple item such as a cushion cover or fabric tote bag.

The course is for adult learners (+18) with limited or no previous experience. Students could then enroll on the Beginners Clothed Making course. You will have the use of all equipment in the workroom including: large tables, sewing machines, over-lockers, irons & metal rulers.


Things needed on the day to bring along: Fabric scissors Tape measure Pins Stitch unpicker Tailors chalk or marker Pencil Hand sewing needles.


Dates:

Saturday 31 January and 28 February 2026, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm


The course fee is £55 for one session.
