About this Event
Join the Frick Park Rangers for a tour of Frick Park! Over the course of the summer, this trail series will explore different trails around Frick Park giving everyone new ways to experience the park from multiple different entrances! Participants are encouraged to sign up for event updates, pack water, and wear closed toe shoes for safety. These hikes will be easy-to-moderate pace and under 2.5 miles. These events will occur every first & third Thursday from May-September from 5:00-6:30PM. Please note that the meeting location will change each month. The first hike of the month will focus on larger, main pathways and will be a slightly shorter and easier hike while the third Thursday’s hike will be more single-track trail based and potentially higher milage. Participants should be comfortable walking on crushed stone terrain, up and down slopes, and crossing potentially slippery boardwalks. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcomed.
This hike we will be meeting at the Frick Environmental Center at 5:00 between the two gatehouses at the front entrance. Parking is available at the Environmental Center along with bathrooms and water fountains. During this hike we will start to explore the hollow area of Frick Park and how to connect it to the Environmental Center entrance. This hike will be 2 miles with a steep descent during the first half and an uphill walk for the second half. We will walk at a slow to easy pace with a few breaks along the way.
