About this Event
Trauma can leave people feeling trapped in a cycle of overwhelming emotions, physical discomfort, and reactions that seem out of their control.
For many, these responses are confusing, and they may struggle to understand why certain situations trigger anxiety, fear, or panic.
If you find yourself frequently reliving painful memories, feeling on edge, or stuck in patterns that hold you back, you’re not alone. Many people experience these responses without realizing they are connected to trauma stored in the brain.
In this session, Julie Mitchell, a certified EMDR practitioner and experienced counsellor, will explain how trauma changes the brain and why these experiences happen. She will introduce Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful therapy designed to help break the grip of trauma.
Whether you're struggling with flashbacks, nightmares, or a lingering sense of unease, EMDR offers a path toward relief and healing. This workshop is for those seeking to understand their trauma and take the first step toward emotional freedom.
