About this Event
An interactive display of the best of the Specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) for school pupils (Y12, Y13 / Lower Sixth and Y14/Upper Sixth) and university students who might be interested being ‘Facial Surgeons in the future.
Great Cases, Collaborations and Hands on experience
Careers presentations, live display with Virtual Reality Head-sets, small group discussions and meeting fellow students.
Free of charge, very limited places. First come first served with preference will be given to school pupils if we are over-subscribed.

Introduction and welcome

Info: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) is one of the 10 surgical specialties in the UK. The care provided by OMFS bridges the professions of dentistry and surgery. OMFS is unique in requiring trainees and consultants to be both dentists and doctors. There are just over 500 OMFS consultants in the UK with 6 in Northern Ireland.
This meeting is aimed at inspiring future OMFS surgeons to consider a career in OMFS.
