Introduction to Botany

Join us for a relaxed stroll around the beautiful Grosvenor Park where we'll delve into the intricacies of botany in a fun and engaging setting. Whether you're an avid gardener, a total newbie or just keen to learn something new, this is the perfect chance to dive into the world of botany with fellow enthusiasts. No pressure, just good vibes and a magnifying glass 👀

Learn the basics of plant identification, how to name different parts of a plant and how to confidently pinpoint several plant families. We will break down intimidating concepts and key ideas into bite-sized easy-to-understand points.

We will be walking around the historic Grosvenor Park in Chester, where we will find a plethora of plants species to study. From century-old trees to cultivated flowers and so-called 'weeds', we will have a lot to talk about !

☕ Meeting point is at the lovely park café Fika+ who have kindly offered a 5% discount on any drinks if you need your fix to power you through our walk. We will set off at 13:00 sharp. Please contact me if you are running late.

Currently in my second year of Ethnobotany studies, I am a professional pastry chef by trade. I love sharing my passion for plants and teaching local communities how to incorporate them into their everyday lives and build a relationship on what is around us.
