My lovely Saturday crocheter, Michelle, has been working on a weighted beaded blanket for her friend’s neurodiverse son and ALL the spicy Hookers flocked to it yesterday! You can twizzle and twiddle them, use it for stimming or relaxing and some of the beads even glow in the dark. All of the sensory delight!
I talk a lot about the spending time on the projects that bring you joy but this is one brought me joy beyond measure without me even picking up a hook. It was such a beautiful project to hold and I was devastated when she put it in her bag and took it home with her, I can’t lie.
I’ve been so inspired by the work and the reactions of people in the class that I’m going to host a beaded crochet workshop on Saturday April 18th
During the workshop you will learn how to add beads to your crochet work as you go and how start your own dreamy weighted project. During the session we will make up sample pieces and shapes to prepare you for your main projects. Hand outs will be provided with Hannah’s Hot Tips as usual and all materials including the beads and yarn will be available for use on the day.
Basic crochet knowledge is essential for this workshop and a fifty percent booking fee of the £39 ticket will be required to reserve your spaces. Just bring along your preferred hooks!
