About this Event
Join us at Winton Woods Harbor for a special Women Sharing the Outdoors boating program. We will be learning about all of the various boat types available at Great Parks of Hamilton County, along with how to rent them, before taking to the water to test them ourselves!
The program will take place from 9am-12pm, including time on the water and professional instruction by Allison Cone- Adventure Coordinator for Winton Woods Park.
Winton Woods Harbor offers canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, stand-up paddle boards, motorboats, rowboats and mini pontoon motorboats. Their 183 acre lake provides wonderful areas to explore, including great wildlife watching. For those who love to fish, renting a boat is a great way to find the hot spots all around the lake.
Enjoy a fun day out and about on the water while learning new skills and getting to know other adventurous ladies. Encourage your own friends to join as well.
Let's have a wonderful time on the water!
No previous experience required and all supplies will be provided, just show up and have fun!
Cost: $25 fee to offset our costs of supplies, refreshments, etc. Only 20 spots available!
In respect to the Izaak Walton's Women Sharing the Outdoors (WSO) mission of female encouragement and involvement, this will only be available to female participants. Therefore, we welcome all women, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters alike, 18 years or older.
Thank you to our program partner: Great Parks of Hamilton County and our sponsors: Izaak Walton League of America, Ohio Division and Mt. Healthy Chapter.
