About this event
Get a hands-on introduction to our Risograph at The Soapbox! Find out what a Risograph is, how it works, how to prepare art for it, and explore how to print with it. Participants can bring a prepared image or work on one during class. Over the course of 3 hours we'll cover the basics of burning masters, digital vs. analog art, multi-color printing, registration, Riso printing quirks, maintenance, and other best practices. All students will get 20 copies of their art, plus assorted extra print samples. This workshop will give you the basic skills you need to incorporate Risography into your art practice. A $10 materials fee covers masters, ink, paper, and maintenance of equipment.
Please note: We require all visitors to the Soapbox wear masks, regardless of their vaccination status. The instructor reserves the right to ask you to leave if you do not comply.
