About this Event
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a way of listening and speaking that makes compassionate giving possible. In practice, NVC has been used by mediators around the world to resolve conflicts between warring tribes, inner city gangs, schools, prisons, and much more.
"The moment you hear someone else's feelings and needs, and they hear yours, a solution becomes possible." - Marshall Rosenburg, creator of Nonviolent Communication
This class is broken up into 16 weeks, starting with an introduction of NVC and the class structure for any and all aspiring peace-makers. We will go through Marshall's book "Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life: Life-Changing Tools for Healthy Relationships 3rd edition" together, discuss, role play, and use each other to practice and become better peace keepers.
There is no fee attached to this class. We do accept donations if you wish to support our cause and, of course, more classes. If you know someone in Denver CO who you think might benefit from learning how to connect with others and address feelings and needs before analysis or judgement, please share this invitation!
