Learn three basic stitches of embroidery and make an adorable sleeping cat! This is a gentle-guidance introductory course to the ageless tradition of fiber arts through embroidery. We'll start with our basics: threading a needle, stitching without causing knots, and using variegated thread in your design. Then we'll learn how and when to use different stitches for different visual effects: chain stitch, satin stitch, and back stitch.
You'll go home either with a finished project, or with an in-progress project and all the supplies you'll need to be able to finish at home at your own pace.
All materials are provided. You'll get an embroidery kit with all needed thread, needles, fabric and frame (materials valued at $25).
We have two sessions of this class -- one for TEENS, 12-16, and one for ADULTS, 17 and up. Please be sure to choose the correct session when registering!
