The Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Introductory Course is intended to help attendees gather an understanding of the human developmental sequence, the concepts of joint centration, and the diaphragm’s role in breathing and stability.This course is designed to introduce DNS and its principles as it relates to exercise and fitness training and give immediate practical application in these areas.
Target audience: Clinicians, trainers, yoga instructors, coaches, body workers and therapists, exercise physiologists & kinesiologists.

Course taught by: Dr. Bob Newhalfen and Dr. Christian Gallegos
Dr. Bob Newhalfen graduated from the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in 2010. While at NUHS, Dr. Bob received extensive training in the areas of diagnosis, Chiropractic Manipulation, rehabilitation, gait analysis, soft tissue therapy, kinesio taping, nutrition, and acupuncture. After graduation, he has continued post-graduate coursework in the areas of motion palpation, biomechanics, McKenzie Therapy, functional rehabilitation, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Active Release Technique (ART), Global Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention (GRIP), pediatric rehabilitation, temporomandibular dysfunction (TMJ and TMD), dry needling, and various other areas. Dr. Bob has completed over 1000 hours of post-graduate coursework outside of his Chiropractic education. In 2023, Dr. Bob had the distinct privilege of being Certified as a DNS Instructor, one of only a handful worldwide.. Dr. Bob is also a Department of Transportation (DOT) Certified Medical Examiner. Dr. Bob is a firm believer in “practicing what he preaches.” As he is continually learning and trying new things for the benefit of his patients, you can be assured that almost everything Dr. Bob recommends for treatment is something he has actually tried himself. Dr. Bob lives in Saint John, Indiana, with his lovely wife Kristen, beautiful daughter Olivia, handsome son John, and his awesome dogs Lucy and Scooter. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and eating lots of great food.
About Dr. Christian Gallegos:
My personal interests include strength training, golf, pickleball, and volleyball. My love for sports has led me to enjoy learning about how the body moves, helping others to move and feel better. My parents and three other siblings have all either pursued careers or will be pursuing careers in the healthcare field. A big inspiration for me is my older brother Carlos, who is a Physical Therapist. He was the first person to introduce me to Motus and chiropractic. Now, my love for physical activity and healthcare has led me to chiropractic school and Motus, where I can further my knowledge and practice. The phrase that sums up my thoughts on what we do is “Movement is medicine.”
