Join Treehouse Cyclery for a four-part mechanics series designed to teach the basics of bike mechanics through hands-on learning and practice.
CLASS SESSIONS:
- January: 7, 14, 21, 28
- February: 4, 11, 18, 25
- March: 4, 11, 18, 25
CURRICULUM
Class 1: Shop Orientation, Bike Anatomy, How to use Tools, and How to Fix a Flat (tubed and tubeless)
Class 2: Brakes and Cables
Class 3: Shifting, Chains, and General Bike Cleaning
Class 4: General Diagnostics, Adjusting Stems, Handlebars, Seatposts and Saddles
INSTRUCTORS
Morgan Matter(they/them)
As a means of self sufficiency Morgan began learning bicycle mechanics and has worked as a professional mechanic off and on since the early 2000s. Although at this time Morgan works behind the desk at a Denver Public Library branch, Morgan continues their passion for bikes, community and mechanics through groups like Treehouse Cyclery, Bikes Together and Fems and Thems.
Meg Henderson (she/they)
Meg has worked on and off as a bike mechanic for the last 4 years and is passionate about creating a more welcoming and inclusive spaces in cycling. They are an active member of their local bike community and currently volunteering with Denver Food Rescue helping to increase health equity with Denver neighborhoods.

The market value for this class is $300. We're offering sliding scale pricing ranging from $150-$300 (available at checkout).
