About this Event
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Indeterminacy Festival presents Into the Charmed Churned Circle, a site-responsive choral performance composed by Stanzi Vaubel, PhD and Philippe Treuille. Drawing inspiration from Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick, David Grann’s The Wager, and the haunting language of whale song, the piece explores the beauty and terror of a life lived on the open waters. Premiered at Snug Harbor on June 14, 2025, the performance brings together professional musicians, youth orchestras and community choirs including the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Bass Ensemble and the Grace Chorale.
