Copying a Still Life of Chardin with Kevin McCarty
Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from Jean Simeon Chardin through the talented artist, Kevin McCarty, at the Cincinnati Art Club. Chardin is considered the French master of still life. In this in-person event, Kevin will introduce Chardin and guide participants through the process of recreating a Chardin masterpiece or the student's creation, inspired by the renowned master artist. This hands-on workshop is perfect for art enthusiasts looking to hone their skills and/or gain insight into the techniques used by this master.
NOTE: Kevin will provide the canvas and the acrylic paints for this workshop. Just bring yourself and possibly register a friend to join you! Don't miss out on this chance to learn of Chardin's work in this Saturday afternoon workshop!
Kevin's BIO
Kevin has painted for over 40 years from easel size to murals, commissioned and non-commissioned, and for public and private collections. He has exhibited across the country from Cincinnati to Tampa, Atlanta and New York. He studied at the Atlanta School of Art in his early years and expanded on his work in New York City. He has obtained first- hand knowledge from traveling the U.S. and Europe and has extended his contemporary work into abstract expressionism. Kevin has organized educational programs and taught over his career, most recently with Communiversity at the University of Cincinnati.
