About this Event
Live and interactive, 3 Category 1 CEUs*.
Join us for an overview of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), an evidence-based treatment proven to effectively address a range of mental health concerns, particularly depression and anxiety. This workshop will provide a comprehensive understanding of IPT theory and techniques through engaging didactic presentations, interactive group discussions, and a review of real-world examples from videotaped sessions led by expert therapists. Research has consistently shown IPT to be an effective, time-limited approach that improves interpersonal functioning and alleviates symptoms by targeting relationship dynamics and social support. This event is ideal for mental health clinicians and students eager to enhance their therapeutic skills.
Objectives:
1) Identify the basic principles of IPT
2) Describe the theory supporting IPT
3) Conduct an Interpersonal Inventory
