On Tuesday April 30th International Jazz Day The Tom Maxwell Organ Trio play a mix of some original music mixed with a couple of standards/tunes arranged for organ trio of Larry Goldings/Jimmy Smith/Pat Bianchi -esque inspiration.


Tom Maxwell’s Organ Stops is a new jazz organ trio featuring three young, emerging artists on the Dublin jazz scene. This trio originally started playing together at weekly sessions in Dublin and now come together for a night of high energy, original and improvised music, paying tribute to some of the greatest Hammond players.


Tom Maxwell is a pianist, organist and music director. Having been introduced to many contrasting styles of music from a young age, he is a versatile young musician and plays regularly in different music scenes across the city.


Matthew O’Connell is a Dublin-based jazz guitarist and composer. He is an emerging artist on the Irish jazz scene and has played part in many groups and projects such as Tom Maxwell’s Organ Stops and ‘Blue Notes’ featuring highly acclaimed Irish jazz artist Ronan Guilfoyle.


Michael McCarthy is a Dublin-based drummer, improviser and composer. With a strong background in jazz, he performs regularly in Dublin with many of Ireland's top improvising musicians.
