International Gator Day 2026: KEEN Basketball (Manhattan)

The Gotham Gator Club is excited to volunteer with KEEN(Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) for International Gator Day 2026 in New York City!

We invite New York tri-state Gators to join Gator Clubs® and Affiliate Groups from around the world to volunteer in your local community together on Saturday, May 16th.

This year we begin IGD at the Brearley School in the UES to participate in KEEN's Basketball Program for children and young adults with disabilities.

• Note there are two Brearley locations - please meet at 590 East 83rd St.

After this project we will continue the fun with KEEN in Williamsburg (separate registration is required)

KEEN fosters the self-esteem, confidence, and talents of young people facing significant challenges, empowering them to meet their individual goals. KEEN New York's Manhattan Basketball is an indoor program for our athletes who wish to shoot some hoops, practice their ball-handling skills, and finesse their footwork all in a team setting.

Volunteering at KEEN has been one of Gotham Gators' favorite volunteer projects. This will be the 9th year the Gotham Gators will participate in KEEN's program for International Gator Day!

Please note:

• Wear comfortable shoes and ORANGE and BLUE attire that you can move around and have fun in. *IGD T-Shirts will be provided!
• Enter through the double glass doors and check in with security. Please arrive promptly and bring your ID for check in.
• We will begin with a brief orientation and group photo. No cell phones, photography, or video recording is allowed while KEEN athletes are present.
• No experience necessary - tips and helpful resources will be shared separately prior to the event.
• Volunteers will need to complete a volunteer waiver prior to the event.

• Your RSVP is a firm commitment. Limited spots available.

Volunteering in NYC with the Gotham Gator Club will leave you smiling and proud to give your time and energy back to your local NYC community.
