Romanians of DC is delighted to invite local children to a special International Children’s Day Celebration: Romanian Rhythms and Stories on May 31, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, organized in partnership with Music Love Academy located at 10359 B Democracy Lane in Fairfax, Virginia. Free event!This is a wonderful, joyful event, designed for children ages 3 to 10, offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Romania through music, rhythm, and storytelling in a fun and engaging way. The young participants will experience a sample group music class engaging with authentic Romanian folk songs, where they will enjoy rhythm games, movement activities, and hands-on exploration of instruments, all guided by experienced instructors. Children will also enjoy listening to beautiful Romanian stories, read aloud in Romanian, creating a meaningful connection to language and tradition.
The Music Love Academy is a Romanian-owned by Mădălina Petric and newly established music school in Fairfax, Virginia, dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of music through high-quality, student-centered instruction for all ages—from infants to adults. The academy offers a wide range of programs, including private lessons, group classes, Montessori-inspired early childhood education, musical theatre, summer camps, and adaptive programs for neurodivergent learners, all built around a thoughtfully designed in-house curriculum. With instruction available across multiple instruments and voice, its approach blends structured technique with creativity and emotional connection, aiming to build confidence, discipline, and joy in a warm, inclusive, and professionally equipped learning environment.
