Wellington City Libraries will be staging a one-off event with the international bestselling author Cathy Kelly, who will be in conversation with Aotearoa’s very own Catherine Robertson. Expect an evening of scintillating conversation, unique insights and behind-the-scenes stories of creating beloved tales that reach the widest of audiences worldwide, when these two writing sensations get down for a good chat!This event will be held in the Ngā Pou Ruahine space, on Level 2 of Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui Central Library.
This is a free event, and all are welcome. We expect this event to be very popular and seating is limited, so please arrive early to ensure a seat.
Cathy Kelly:
Cathy Kelly is a bestselling Irish author known for her stories about real women's lives - the messy relationships, the love, the loss and everything in between. She has written twenty-two novels, selling millions of copies globally. In addition to her writing, she is a UNICEF ambassador and lives and writes from her home in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, surrounded by her family, two dogs and a cat.

Catherine Robertson
Catherine Robertson is a #1 New Zealand bestselling author and a regular guest on Jesse Mulligan’s Book Critic slot on RNZ. In 2020 she was the CNZ / International Institute of Modern Letters Writer in Residence. Born and bred in Wellington, Catherine moved to Hawke’s Bay in 2021 and is current Chair of Hawke’s Bay Readers & Writers and on the board of Verb Wellington. Catherine’s latest novel is contemporary rom-com Kiss My Glass (Harper Collins).
