Intermixed: Beats, Bites & Bevs is our monthly music series, where local DJs set the vibe as you sip exhibition-inspired cocktails, sample locally distilled spirits, and savor a rotating menu of lite bites. An artful blend of sound, flavor, and atmosphere—designed for unwinding at sunset. Thursday, March 13, Jonny DeStefano, co-founder of Birdy Magazine and host of Radio Birdy on KGNU, takes to the table.
About the DJ
Jonny DeStefano is the Co-Founder of Birdy, Colorado’s independent, artist-run print magazine that explores, documents, and advocates the creative exploration of art, information and ideas every month. He is also the founder of the late comedy activist space, Deer Pile. He’s been a lifelong musician playing in punk rock bands from his parent’s basement as a kid to Red Rocks, on U.S. tours, and even in Japan. He began his DJ career as the promoter of City, O’ City in 2008, leading to a regular radio show on KGNU. He currently has a live weekly show, Radio Birdy, every Tuesday from 7-9PM MST and an in-person show, Birdy Brunch, at City, O’ every Saturday from 11AM-2PM MST both of which are broadcasted on Radio Rethink. He loves Godzilla, shark attacks, hockey and upright bass.
