INTERFERENCE FILMS IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE A SPECIAL SCREENING OF THE ENTIRE BASKET CASE TRILOGY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE UK!! Here at Interference Films, we love the works of Frank Henenlotter. His small but iconic filmography has enthralled cult cinema lovers for decades with hits such as Frankenhooker and Brain Damage, but his most renowned and revered title was his feature film debut BASKET CASE!
This gloriously grimy tale of separation and revenge has become the stuff of cult/low budget legend, so much so that in 2017 the New York Museum of Modern Art selected this 1982 classic for preservation, overseeing a 4K restoration and then added it to their permanent film collection! The film spawned two sequels that were also directed by Henenlotter which is a rarity for any horror franchise to have the same director for multiple installments. All of them are superb in their own right, showcasing Henenlotters unmistakable flair for insanity and gory, gruesome fun.
So come join us for this one off special of all three Basket Case films back to back on the big screen! OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
BASKET CASE (1982)
Follows Duane Bradley, a young man who arrives in New York City with a wicker basket containing his deformed, telepathic conjoined twin brother, Belial, seeking revenge on the doctors who forcibly separated them, leading to a violent rampage as Belial takes matters into his own hands, ultimately exposing their bizarre existence and ending in tragedy for Duane and his new love interest.

BASKET CASE 2 (1990)
picks up with Duane and his deformed brother Belial surviving their fall, becoming media sensations, and being whisked away by their Aunt Ruth to a secluded mansion filled with other "freaks" hiding from society. When a tabloid reporter threatens to expose their haven, Duane and his newfound freak family must band together, leading to bloody revenge, a bizarre romance for Belial, and shocking revelations about Duane's aunt and her "daughter".

BASKET CASE 3 - THE PROGENY (1991)
follows Duane and his deformed twin Belial as they travel with Granny Ruth's freak show to have Belial's monstrous girlfriend, Eve, give birth to their litter of baby monsters; but when evil sheriffs kidnap the newborns for a reward, Belial goes on a gory rampage to rescue his "progeny," leading to a violent confrontation and the freaks taking their message of acceptance to the masses via a TV broadcast.
