Object work. Fun to watch, yet challenging to perform! 🎭🛠️
Object work is an essential part of the toolset of a good improviser. As sets and props are typically nonexistent in improv, object work allows a performer to establish and interact with imaginary objects in a scene, and in doing so to help the audience visualize the environment. This adds depth and realism, making scenes more immersive and credible. 🌟🎬
In this workshop we will focus on:
🧠 understanding the importance of objects and how they improve believability
👐 creating, manipulating, and working with objects
🌍 developing physical awareness of the environment
🔄 maintaining consistency and learning how to be even more expressive in our physical portrayal
🎭 playing scenes with strong focus on objects
🚀 Level: Suitable for all levels.
👨‍🏫 About the teacher:
Atanas is an experienced improviser known particularly for his impressive object work. He had his very first taste of improv in 2013 when he completed a five-month course of improv, two of which were focused exclusively on non-verbal play! Since the beginning of 2019 he has been playing non-stop in Munich. Today he performs longform shows regularly with The Blue Couch improv group, and is an active member of the Rice Cookie Improv community.

💶 The price of the workshop is 60 EUR.
Important things to know:
👟 Please bring non-slip socks or a second pair of shoes. We are not allowed to use our street shoes in the venue, and the floor can be slippery. We highly recommend comfortable clothes which allow for movement and possibly sitting on the floor.
📸 We ask that you do not take photos or videos during the session.
