This training focuses on the principles of financial social work and its importance in enhancing client well-being. Participants will explore how financial issues impact mental health and learn practical strategies for implementing financial wellness into their clinical practice. Through discussions and case examples, clinicians will gain insights into integrating financial social work principles, enabling them to better support their clients in overcoming financial challenges and achieving holistic well-being. While financial social work principles will be highlighted, the tools and skills reviewed are suitable for all practitioners.

About the Presenters
Quierra Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with over six years of experience providing therapeutic services, case management, and crisis intervention. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and is certified in Financial Social Work and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Quierra specializes in using cognitive behavioral and other solution-focused techniques to help individuals create healthier relationships with themselves, their money, and to manage their mood.
