About this Event
This event will focus on structuring natural capital investments that can meet the needs of institutional investors, and the role that NGOs can play in making these investors comfortable in investing in natural climate solutions. Traditional commercial forestry can deliver substantial environmental benefits; however innovation and investment are required to modify these models to achieve additional climate, environmental, and social impacts without sacrificing the fundamental attributes that make working forests investable by large institutions. This new model of forest investing requires multiple specialized skillsets – skills not held by one institution or sector of the economy alone. With that in mind, the panel will focus on cross-sector collaborations that are seeking to deliver these new models.
