The workshop is a unique opportunity to deepen the study and practice of instant composition.Advanced techniques and primary principles of these artistic disciplines will be covered over the three days.
- tangible body and extended mind: movement as the ‘basic element’ of composition, types of movement;
- ‘objectify’ a movement: from personal experience to choreographic material;
- the art of phrasing and musicality: rhythm and dramaturgy of an instant composition;
- the construction of a scene: use of objects and stage space;
- the voice as sound, grammar, meaning: the birth of the story
- action, emotion 'states of mind': from training to performance;
- instant composition as an artistic product in itself, complete and finished: dance and live poetry.
In each lesson we will immerse ourselves in short instant compositions (real micro-performances) to practice, analyse and discuss these techniques directly in the field through their application.
Classes will include the presence of other artists and performers in a stimulating and lively environment dedicated to fostering creativity and pushing each other towards awareness and clarity of this artistic methodology.
