Bio:
Taylor Janney-Rovin is a Queens-based singer-songwriter stepping back up to the mic after a near decade hiatus. With a Broadway belt, a penchant for pop, and an "old soul," she blends genres and breaks rules to make her own kind of music. After a traumatic vocal cord injury in college left her terrified of singing, Taylor set aside her passion for performing and hid her talent for years while working as a middle school English teacher. But as she encouraged her students to take risks and follow their dreams, she realized it was finally time to learn from her own lessons. With a flair for the dramatic and a whole lot of moxie, Taylor blends genres and breaks the rules - bringing a big voice and an even bigger heart to the stage. Drawing from her own unconventional journey of growth and self-discovery, she sings in celebration of her unique individuality and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
