"Bitter and sweet, just enough; I will taste you again."

Daria Meyer, a singer/songwriter, perceives her shows as more than mere music; they are immersive experiences. Her hauntingly beautiful voice, shaped by classical music education and a theater background, melds baroque and folk influences, infusing touches of poetry and subtle hints of country. Her performances transcend genres, creating an artistic medley that deeply resonates with audiences. As a storyteller, artist, and actress, Meyer possesses the ability to transform listeners through her music, consistently leaving them yearning for more.

Daria began writing music at 17, growing up in Moscow, Russia—a bustling city pulsating with a rich historical tapestry and an indefatigable soul. During her formative years, Irish Folk gained popularity in Russia, profoundly influencing Daria's first acoustic album, "Ajva." Later, as a young adult, she attended the Russian Academy of Theater Arts, honing her skills in theater. Over time, her passion for music led her to master the guitar, piano, and flute, all of which contribute to her distinctive sound.

Driven by love and curiosity, Daria moved to America in her twenties, an experience she deems "life-changing and transformational." "David Bowie is such an artist in so many directions, and this is exactly what I want to integrate," states Daria. "He is my inspiration, my guiding star, and like him, I love to integrate other media into my performances and my life." Her radiant femininity intertwines with dry humor and radical openness, fearlessly delving into the depths of her soul and illuminating her shadow side.

Daria navigated through the Hollywood landscape, establishing her acting career in Los Angeles, collaborating with academy award-nominated director Tony Kaye. "LA was a tremendous experience, but my true art has to be born in the place where my heart belongs to. And it’s New York, of course it’s New York!"

Currently residing in New York City, Daria is diligently working on her second album, with the initial singles set to release in March of 2024.
