Naomi Okai is a New York-based singer/songwriter with roots in Showa-era Japanese popular music. Inspired by the free spirit of jazz & life in the City, her compositions do not fit within the boundaries of conventional genres. And that is just fine by her. As self-proclaimed “Singer/Soul Fighter,” Naomi aspires to find what makes us all human through music, and eradicate social barriers for a borderless world.
