With an eye for finding beauty in the ordinary, Yousaf’s poems and photographs explore the many shapes of love—romantic, platonic, familial, and self—creating a heartfelt journey through human connection and tenderness. F.S. Yousaf is a poet and writer from New Jersey. He finds himself writing about many topics, but notably mental illness, love, and spirituality. He is the author of multiple poetry collections, including his debut Euphoria, Prayers of My Youth, Serenity, and his bestselling Sincerely. He has a bachelor’s in history and secondary education from William Paterson University. When he is not teaching or writing, he obsesses over making the perfect cup of coffee and takes pictures using his 35mm film camera.


Aymann Ismail is a staff writer at Slate, the author of Becoming Baba, and the president of the Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association. In 2018, he received an ASME Next award. In 2021, his essay The Store That Called the Cops on George Floyd was nominated for a National Magazine Award in Reporting and won a Writers Guild Award. And in 2016 he was arrested by the NYPD for trespassing on the Williamsburg Bridge. His work has been featured by CNN, The New York Times, NPR, GQ, among others. He lives in Newark NJ with his wife and two kids.
