Sam Theuring is a Brooklyn-based singer, entertainer, and event host known for her moxie and charm. A cabaret-style act, Sam's repertoire pulls from Broadway, jazz, blues, and pop. Her influences are strong female performers like Barbara Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and jazz singers Annie Ross and Marilyn Maye. Sam sings independently and as the front woman of the Evil Gal Blues Band.
Sam is a fierce leader who prioritizes community and welcomes artists of all skill levels and mediums to her events. She is the creator and host of Sam and Friends Open Mic, a weekly event at Roots Cafe in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and Very Serious Business Show, a monthly variety showcase.
