What to Expect:
Step away from your usual routine and give yourself a day to reconnect with your body, your breath, and what inspires you.
This day retreat at Lotus Pond is designed to create space for you to move, reflect, slow down, and to listen a little more closely to what’s already within you.
We’ll begin the day with an accessible, uplifting yoga practice to awaken the body and gently build energy. From there, you’ll be guided through meditation, journaling, and simple mindfulness practices offering time to explore what inspiration feels like for you.
Mid day, we’ll pause for a 1 hour lunch break, with time to enjoy the nature around the property, take a walk, or simply rest.
In the afternoon, we’ll shift into some playful and creative ways to practice the concept "Beginner's Mind"
We’ll also explore discussion and reflection around inspiration: what it is, how it shows up, and how to stay connected to it in everyday life.
The day retreat will end with a long restorative practice, allowing the body time to soften and integrate.
My hope is that you'll leave with a sense of clarity, renewed energy, and simple ways to continue nurturing inspiration beyond this day retreat.
About Your Teacher:
Co-Owner of Lotus Pond, Katie Beene brings a deep love for yoga to every class she teaches. She guides students of all levels through a variety of yoga styles, from group sessions to personalized 1:1 practices designed to meet individual needs. Katie’s teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is for everyone, whether you're seeking physical strength, mental clarity, or emotional balance.
A lover of nature and mindfulness, Katie finds inspiration in the world around her, bringing a grounded, holistic approach to her yoga practice both on and off the mat. She enjoys cross-training in dance and sports, always infusing her movement with the wisdom of yoga. Her classes are a space for growth, self-discovery, and connection, where students are encouraged to explore their own path with curiosity and compassion. Katie believes in the power of yoga to transform lives, and her teaching reflects her commitment to sharing these practices in an accessible, warm, and supportive way.
