*SAMUHO presents — INSIGHTS INTO PERFORMANCE 2.0**MODULE 1 - PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT*
Performance is never only about the stage. It is also about the invisible labour, the negotiations, the politics, and the systems that hold a production together.
As a part of Insights Into Performance 2.0, SAMUHO brings the first module on Production Management, facilitated by Shubham Roy Choudhury.
About the Facilitator - Shubham is an arts manager, producer, film curator and researcher. He has worked in films, art galleries, and performance spaces, taught media, managed grants and produced plays and exhibitions over the last 18 years. He was the Executive Director of Indian Ensemble, Bangalore. As a Program Officer for India Foundation for the Arts, he has supervised multiple films. He has curated the Ranga Shankara Theatre Festival, Bengaluru, Indian Documentary Films Festival, Bhubaneshwar and the TENT Biennale, Kolkata among others. He was also a Global Cultural Fellow at the IICR, University of Edinburgh.
Our Vision - This workshop module aims to open conversations around the practical and creative dimensions of theatre production — from organizing rehearsals and managing spaces to understanding collaboration, communication and sustainability within performance practices. Designed for theatre practitioners, students, cultural workers and enthusiasts, the sessions will encourage participants to think beyond performance as only an artistic act, and engage with the structures that make performance possible.
