Highlights of the tour include the Odd Fellows Building, a prominent African American fraternal organization that is currently undergoing an extensive restoration; the Atlanta Life Insurance Building, home to one of the most successful Black-owned businesses of its time; and the Southern School Book Depository Building, a notable site in the district’s history, designed by architectural firm Hentz and Reid.
