About this Event
The Studio Within is a series of workshops set up as a calm gateway into your inner experience and its visual expression. It’s for anyone who feels there is something in them—a voice, a whisper—asking them to connect more with themselves, and who wants to experiment with space and ways to express it.
In this session, we follow the ritual and take a guided journey into your Inner Landscape, your inner garden, the place where your sacred self feels at home. We begin with tea and a gentle check-in to arrive as we are. Then we move into a guided meditation.
After the meditation, we move to the worktables and translate what you experienced into visual form. We’ll work with paper and simple painting and drawing materials—acrylic colors, watercolor, colored pencils—to make your inner garden visible to yourself. You don’t need any experience. This is not about creating masterpieces. It’s about deepening the experience by giving the inner image shape, color, and texture.
The idea is not to “make art,” but to play in your garden and bring something of it back with you. The atmosphere is calm and supportive—space for quiet focus, and space for gentle exchange and community.
Your host
Alex Libotte is a Berlin-based visual artist, photographer, and former creative director with a background in Communication Design. After years working across the creative industry and living in London and São Paulo, his practice gradually shifted from brand and agency work toward a more personal, process-led approach rooted in experimentation, craft, and making by hand. Today, he teaches a course on experimental design in Hamburg and brings that studio and workshop mindset into every session.
Alex co-founded Space Of Hearts together with his wife, Adriana Takeuchi Libotte, as a space for hands-on practice, cultural exchange, and creative community. The Studio Within is part of that intention: a calm format where inner practice meets visual expression, and where people can come back to themselves in a shared space—without pressure to perform.
