About this Event
Join us at the Berkeley Yoga Center. This 2-hour workshop offers a gentle, anatomy-informed exploration of presence, deep listening and attuned touch while considering the landscapes of the body's diaphragms—pelvic, respiratory, thoracic, vocal/oral, and cranial. Drawing from traditional osteopathic medicine and somatic pelvic physical therapy, participants will be invited to explore mindful self-touch, parallel play, and partner touch.
This trauma- and nervous-system-informed workshop welcomes romantic or platonic partners, as well as solo participants. All practices are optional and consent-based. No prior experience is required.
Facilitated by Dr. Vanessa Newman, DO, a physician specializing in manual osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine, and Dr. Karah Charette, PT, DPT, RYT, pelvic health physical therapist and student of Body-Mind Centering®.
