Join us for an event to celebrate Bl. Alcuin’s feast day! This student event features lessons on the lost art of scribes of the early medieval Carolingian dynasty. Students will learn about Bl. Alcuin’s contribution to the written word in the 8th century, minuscule script calligraphy, book illumination processes, create natural inks, and complete a final project that combines all the skills learned! The evening includes dinner and a showing of The Secret of Kells!
For students going into 8th - 11th grades this fall.
$35 includes dinner and all materials.
